A fabulous find! A large antique French wedding box with a fashion plate of a bride on the lid - containing hundreds of hand beaded flowers. The box dates to the 1860s, and the flowers to around 1900. There are too many flowers to count - around 15 large flowers (around 10cms. or 4 inches in diameter) as well as hundreds of smaller daisy head flowers in small bouquets. The flowers are all wired, and all in tones of white, opaque and palest gray. Perfect for all kinds of creative projects. All in good condition with no losses, rusting of other issues.
