A framed oil on canvas by listed Indiana artist Orrin Draver (1895-1964). Draver, a landscape painter identified with Richmond, Indiana, was born in Nebraska in 1895, moving to Indiana as a boy. He worked in his father's milling machine business until 1932, when his father died. He sold the company and thereafter devoted himself entirely to painting. His Chicago, Illinois dealer was J. W. Young. He also showed at Aronoff's Galleries and Closson's in Cincinnati, Ohio. Draver died in 1964.
This wonderful work is 23" by 19" in its frame, and it is a very well done landscape, and it is signed in the lower left corner.
Condition: there are some flakes on the upper right corner, but the painting is in otherwise good condition. The frame has some loss on the edges.
Thanks so much for looking!
