A 10" high 18th century English Chelsea bocage figurine of a man holding a basket of what looks like turnips. Quite delightful! It was a lamp at one time, and there is a hole drilled through it that doesn't distract from its charm or beauty.
Condition: there are a few tiny chips (I see 10 small leaf chips, one on the base and the rest on the bocage, one on the front and the rest on the back, but I may be missing some). Still, what a treasure of early English Chelsea pottery!
Thanks so much for looking.
