A delightful antique (1830-40's) marked Dresden figurine of a pair of angels or putti playing musical instruments, flanking a trumpet shaped vase accented with pretty flowers. It is 6.5" wide and 6.5" high, and it is truly adorable. Just check out their charming faces, hands and feet....very well done. The mark is early Dresden, and it has been attributed to the studio of Helena Wolfsohn, circa 1834 or so.
Condition: this is nearly 200 years old, so there are a couple of issues, though few considering the age of this piece. The horn that one of the angels is playing is broken off at the bottom of the hands, and there is an in the mold flaw on that angel's tummy just below the belly button. It is pale grey, and it is a bit raised. The flowers on the trumpet vase are in remarkably good condition, but there may be a few minute losses here and there. Who cares??? This is wonderful!
