These earrings are fine Modernist Sterling Silver Oy of Norway. Einar Modahl (1889-1951) founded Einar Modahl in 1920 and was one of the pioneers in Scandinavian modern jewelry. Einar Modahl died in 1970 and the company ceased in 1987.
A simple and feminine design, these screw back earrings feature black enamel, set into sterling silver settings. The design is typical of Einar Modahl clean simple lines. Each earring is stamped Sterling Silver and with a flag & N, which was the hallmark for Einar Modahl.
Dimensions are : 5/8" Wide x 5/8" High. It is in excellent vintage condition, attesting to gentle care when worn.
