Artist Doll, Lora Soling Doll, OOAK doll, papier mache doll
Gilbert Fouchet, 15 inches tall, is an original artist doll made by Lora Soling, in the manner of papier mache dolls in the nineteenth century. His head, lower arms and legs are papier mache and his body, upper arms and legs are cloth. The papier mache is sculpted and painted, then aged by my own methods. Four coats of varnish are applied and the doll is next assembled and dressed. Gilbert, a dashing young fellow, is wearing a double breasted jacket of aged cotton linen and trousers of a checked cotton. His shirt is of antique fabric and his tie is made of antique ribbon. The last photo sees him relaxing on the sofa with his feet up, which as we know is against house rules. We will let our dolls enjoy themselves as they wish.
This doll is one of a kind. All clothing and jewelry by the artist Lora Soling.
