Papier mache and cloth artist doll by Lora Soling, one of a kind. Althea Hartley is 18 inches tall, made of sculpted, painted papier mache and cloth, stuffed with cotton and sawdust. Althea wears a dress, late 1860's style, of antique cotton trimmed with antique crocheted trim, vintage buttons and ribbon. Her bonnet is made of aged and vintage cottons, antique laces, vintage ribbons, handmade and paper flowers. Undergarments consist of knickers and full petticoat of antique laces, whitework and aged cottons, silk ribbon. Entire doll and all clothing and jewelry by the artist Lora Soling.

This doll is one of a kind. Set of boxes and dog in the last photo are available in my Ruby Lane shop. Please inquire about other items, available in my retail shop but not listed. I want to mention that the beautiful fabric in Althea's dress was purchased from the incomparable Diane Cucci, who has a shop here on Ruby Lane.
