Miss Edwina Tippen, a papier mache and cloth artist doll by Lora Soling. This lady is 16.75 inches tall, made of painted, sculpted papier mache and cloth in the same manner in which 19th Century German papier mache dolls were made. Her head and hair are sculpted and painted, as are her lower arms and legs. She is aged, and coated with four layers of varnish for protection. Her body, upper arms and legs are cloth. She wears a chemise, knickers, petticoat and dress, bonnet, necklace, all designed and made of vintage and antique fabrics, trimmed with ribbons, laces and beads. She wears a bonnet made of antique fabrics, trimmed with ribbon flowers. This doll is one of a kind and will not be reproduced.
