Miniature painted metal dollhouse washstand. This very old dollhouse cream enameled tin washstand has two round holes in the counter fitted with porcelain bowls (the one with the rim appears to be original). Also included is a soap dish. The backsplash has an interesting cut out design and is fitted with a water reservoir on the back and two gilt metal faucets which can be turned to let water into the bowls. Cup holders are mounted on either side of the faucets. A mirror can be hung from the cutout hook at the top. The washstand is supported by thin bent wire legs with a shelf underneath for towels and toiletries.
Made in 1" scale, it measures 7.375 inches tall x 4.5 inches wide by 3 inches deep. The counter is 3.25 inches tall. It is in good condition with some paint loss. The porcelain pieces are in excellent condition.
