Miniature composition ethnic doll, MIB, made in Japan. An interpretation of a traditionally dressed Polish woman. Never played with or removed from the box, which has lovely embossed paper decoration, and fortunately for us, comes with a label that tell us what the doll is. Otherwise, we would devise cocktail-hour games to guess what this little lady was meant to be. The box has age staining on the inside, but is otherwise in excellent condition. She wears a cotton slip, ribbons around her knees, a flannel skirt with a cotton apron, a flannel jacket with a ribbon belt, molded hair, and one ribbon tied around her head and under her chin. She is 3.875 inches tall. The box is 4.625 inches by 3.25 inches by 1.375 inches deep. Date unknown, but these dolls were copies of an German series of tiny ethnic dolls. Please see my 3 other similar dolls listed. Stand not included.
