German bisque head girl doll, 8.5 inches tall, with blue stationary glass eyes, open mouth, socket head, curly mohair wig. Composition body, with painted socks and shoes. The body appears to be un-played with aside from a chip to the black paint on each shoe, otherwise, no wear at all, and her bisque head is in excellent condition. Delightful and clean original clothing that is sewn on, no damage or repairs. Dress with lace collar and pin tucks, chemise, petticoat and knickers, silk ribbon sash is not original. Cloth bonnet, of very old fabric and lace, with velvet button trim, silk ribbon bow. She has some rubs to her right cheek blush, some glue residue on the back of her wig that is unseen when bonnet is on. A really sweet little girl. Here's the mystery: Her head is marked with a Roman Numeral 1 or capital I, then a 1/10, and a mark that was incised onto the mold: a reversed "Z" or "5"./ Germany. This information has not helped me identify her.
