Vintage Toy Craft Mule Cart and Clown wooden Pull Toy. This was number 318 in the Toy Craft Studio company catalog, circa 1933 in Wooster Ohio. The Toy Craft company was in business from 1916-1950. By 1927, the company was shipping over a million colorful wooden toys a year around the country. Toy Kraft’s original toys were made with ponderosa pine and included lead-based oil paints. This is in very good condition with wheels being slightly loose, possibly intended to be that way. The kicking mule is pulled along (original string, very fragile) and the clown is on a spring, so he wobbles as the cart moves forward. Colors are still bright, some grime from use and play. Measures 15.5 inches long, 9 inches tall, 7 at widest.
