Antique miniature brass purse for doll. This tiny sweet purse was most likely a flask of some sort, since it does not open and there is a short tube at top (missing its stopper?). It seems large for a perfume flask and too small for the other kind....anyway, it is fascinating, with an incredibly elaborate design stamped on it, and the other side has remnants of soft and colorful paint on top of the same stamped design. Pattern resembles hieroglyphics on top of a tiny dot pattern. Perfect size for a doll's purse and was obviously shaped to resemble a handbag. I have seem similar intended as lockets or pendants but never with this particular stamped design. This measures 2.125 inches at widest, 1.375 inches at top. The chain drop is 2 inches and the purse is just under .625 inches thick.
