Antique miniature crocheted doll's purse with steel beads. This lovely doll’s purse is made of a reddish dark brown or maroon crocheted cotton embellished on each side with a stylized flower made of faceted steel beads. There are just a couple of beads missing but there is some rust, and not surprising given that’s what steel does naturally. The purse is sewn to a metal frame with some wear and patina, and I do not know if the stitching is original, but it’s attached securely. The clasp is working although it is somewhat informal. This measures just shy of 3.75 inches long, is 2.625 inches at widest, and the chain drops 2.5 inches. This is in very good condition overall and is perfect for display or to adorn a doll 20 inches or larger.
