Antique turned head Alt Beck & Gottshalck girl bisque head doll. This is a beautiful German doll, incised with mold number 1290/ Made in Germany/DEP. Her shoulder head is turned toward the right and tilted down giving her a shy expression. A round face with a high forehead. She has dark brown sleep eyes with upper and lower painted lashes and feathered brows. Her mouth is slightly open with upper teeth. Her full cheeks are blushed nicely. Shoulder head is in perfect condition and of very good quality bisque. Her original chubby leather body has patching at the hips, knees, ankles, upper arms and at the back shoulder. Sturdy, well done, no leaking. Her forearms are the original bisque arms and they are in perfect condition. Dressed in a wonderful vintage costume that appears to be her original. The vintage red and white cotton dress buttons up the back and ties, with a pocket on the front. Her matching pantaloons, chemise and slip are all fine cotton and fit her perfectly. She wears replaced, newer leather pink boots (stamped "Lenore" on soles) and a replaced human hair wig. I have made her a necklace.
