Cort Theatre Program Chicago 1924. Measures 7.75 inches by 5.25 inches. The date is November 12, 1924, and Lillian Boessel was present. The play was “White Cargo”, and was adapted from the novel “Hell’s Playground” by Ida Vera Simonton. Later, in the 1940’s, this was made into a movie of the same name, starring Hedy Lamarr and Walter Pidgeon. The original play ran on Broadway through November of 1924, and perhaps the Chicago run overlapped with a different cast, since this is Week Six. If you collect theatre programs, and who does not? you need this one, avec provenance. In excellent condition, and reading the ads will whisk you into the time machine.
