Antique lithographed Steinway baby grand piano candy container. This paper covered cardboard piano dates to the 1920's and is trimmed with lithographed paper in a William Morris decorative style. There are no maker's marks, and is in 1/2" scale. You can use the zoom to enable a good idea of condition. There has been some reglue to the areas where legs attach, and a tear in the inside where the rear leg attaches, but the entire piano sits quite well. Some bending and repair on the left side of the keyboard. Originally white Dresden paper trimmed the inside, just about entirely gone, and that leads me to think this was intended for a special bit of candy. Measures 3.75 inches front to back, 2.5 inches wide, and 2 inches from ground. In good to fair used condition, still quite charming, as pianos seem to always have a personality of their own that is enhanced in miniature.
