Antique wooden coin box with lithograph of toy maker. There is writing inside that reads "Mary Bloch" or "Black". Box measures 4.5 inches by 3 by 2.25. The delightful image on applied paper is of a toy maker demonstrating a toy to a young boy, on a narrow street. There are the proverbial geese in the foreground. There is a town with a steeple in the middle background with mountains in the distance. A lot of pictorial information is contained in this small space.
The latch is missing from this box, and there are a few small dents and scratches from age. The image has darkened somewhat but is still distinct and colorful. Perfect to display with your dolls. A good size to use as a backdrop for smaller dolls or as a toy for large dolls.
