This beautiful collar is stunning on and is just loaded with hand cut paste. The paste is all safely collet and pave set. Each paste was hand cut exactly the same way a diamond would have been. Gem cutters of the period would sit and cut paste one day, rubies the next, diamonds, sapphires etc. and around it would go.
The collar is unusual and the first one of its kind I have had. Originally this would have had a velvet ribbon which would have been tied in the back. Over the past century it has deteriorated. It has been replaced with a lovely gold cord that looks perfect with the paste. It can be adjusted from a short collar to a 24" drop depending on what appeals to you.
The necklace or paste portion measures 7" across with a 2 " dangle. The metal is a gold base metal. Constructed in links the movement is smooth and fluid. The necklace can be worn by a bride and would be stunning, or can be worn with your favorite dress. A really unique and beautiful necklace that sparkles galore in the sun.
