One of the most intricate snake brooches I've had. Four snakes are completely intertwined with their heads meeting at the middle. They each have their mouths open and they are biting the center stone. The large piece of Art Glass is salmon colored, to simulate coral.. On top of their heads is a large bead set emerald green paste stone which is well faceted. Each snake has bead set ruby colored cabochon eyes. The green stones are open backed to allow light to pass through. The entire brooch is heavy Sterling. It is stamped sterling behind the piece. The pin is tested 14K gold.. The scales of every snake are completely hand etched. Please enlarge the photo's, the detail truly is remarkable.
