I have had many strands of Cherry Amber over the years but this is the very first necklace I have had that incorporates both clear faceted amber beads and large translucent beads. The necklace is smooth to the touch and feels glorious on.
The necklace is a great length and measures 35" long. The front center bead is a round translucent bead that has a piece of clear carved amber in the center. The 4 large pieces measure 1 1/2" long (with the clear faceted piece inside.) The last 2 pieces which would be at the top of the neck when being worn each measure 1" long. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition. The Only thing I could possibly mention is there is one extremely tiny indentation on one of the large beads. It can be seen in the close up photo I took. It is near impossible to see with the naked eye and was likely done during production. The stringing is fabulous and the perfect amount of tension. Some folks mistake Cherry Amber for Bakelite however this is in fact Amber. The necklace is Circa 1930, Art Deco Period. For an Amber collector this is really super unusual and quite rare. Questions are always welcome.
