This is a Bilston Battersea open salt container with brass trimmed enamel on copper, circa 1780s, England. This is a very unique and rare antique English salt container made in the 18th century. The container is extremely well detailed with very fine enamel workmanship. There is also fine gold gilded designs all around. This container has sceneries of beautiful farmland with animals and people. The condition of the piece is very good but there are some minor damages on the enamel.
