Made in the 1960s by the Faster-Form Corporation of New Hartford, NY, this large, unusual rosary was originally fitted with metal caps that held flowers, forming a floral rosary that could be draped over a casket. After the funeral, the rosary was sent away to have the flower caps replaced with pearlized Lucite beads, creating a family keepsake. Original gold and red box stamped "The Last Rosary" measures approx. 8" x 5" x 0.75" (21.5cm x 13cm x 2.5cm). Loop portion of rosary measures approx. 70" (178cm); tail portion with metal crucifix measures approx. 15" (38.5cm). Enclosed card indicates that this rosary was used at the funeral of one Mrs. Eleanor Szczepanik. Cardboard box shows some wear. Metal and Lucite rosary is in near-mint condition.
