Devotion to Our Lady of the Snows is tied to a miraculous snowfall in Rome in 352 A.D. Today she is prayed to for health, fertility, and easy childbirth. This graceful little plastic statue is probably a 1960s-era souvenir from the Lady of the Snows shrine in Belleville, Illinois. Cream-colored acrylic with painted gold trim (some wear to trim). Measures approx. 5" tall by 1.25" across bottom of base (13cm x 3.7cm). Baby's arm is broken off at wrist; otherwise in excellent vintage condition.
