This pocket-sized First Communion Bible is embossed with the emblem and initials of the Order of the Eastern Star, a women's Masonic organization founded in 1850. Inscribed in black ink on flyleaf: "To Yvonne from Ma-Ma 1938." Above that are some Bible chapter/verse numbers written lightly in pencil. Pebbled white faux-leather covers with gold embossing on front cover and spine; onionskin pages with gilded edges. Includes 6 maps of Biblical locations. Title page is partly torn near spine and a few other pages have creased corners; cover shows minor scuffing and some soiling. Otherwise in excellent vintage condition.
