This unusual little pair of statues on a single base depicts the Hindu god Vishnu (at left) and a guru figure (at right). The Hindi writing on the base reads "Swaminarayan,", which means "Lord Vishnu," but also refers to a Hindu sect called Swaminarayan Sampraday. The guru statue is most likely the sect's leader. Bright gold metal and enamel; measures approx. 3.5" tall x 3" wide (10cm x 8cm). In near-mint condition.
