A pair of fine early 19th century Coalport cache pots (planters).
Very elegant cache pots, lovely light turquoise ground with wide rich gold band at the top and gilt loop handles.
Each planter is beautifully painted gilt-framed panels with romantic views of rivers and bridges to the front.
Bears artist’s initials to the bottom of one of the planters.
Dimensions: 12.5 cm high, top diameter – 13.5 cm, base diameter – 9 cm.
Condition: very good overall, perfectly sound structurally, no paint loss, no flaking or crazing, very slight gilt rub and at the back of one of the planters there’s trace of technological fault, fine underglaze scratches, that appeared during the manufacturing process. Does not detract, mentioned for accuracy.
