This tall covered cup was made of .800 silver, circa 1910, at the height of the Art Nouveau period. The base of the cup is square and leads up to the square stem which rises up to hold the round cup. The cup is beautifully chased with a soft flowing design. The cover of the cup is topped off with a figure of a woman in a flowing gown holding a shield in one hand and a wreath in the other. The piece is stamped .800 and a makers mark which I haven't been able to identify.
