This pair of Russian cup was made in Moscow by Russian silversmith Antip Ivanovich Kuzmichez in the years between 1908- 1917. There are two hall marks, one for the silversmith "AK" and the other is the number 84 and a woman's head facing left. The 84 is the fineness of the silver, which was the Russian silver standard at that time. The woman's head is the national assay mark which was introduced in 1896. Both of these cups are beautifully made and are covered with superb hand engraving. The cups have a pedestal base which ends with a bottom border of a beaded edge.
