This sterling silver covered sugar bowl was made by Theodore B. Star, Circa 1900. Theodore B. Star manufactured in New York City between the years 1900- 1924 when the company became part of Reed & Barton. This piece appears to have a very simple design, almost colonial, but, please look at the cover and top half of the bowl. The design that you see is all beautifully hand engraved, which for the time is very unusual. Most silver companies by this time had replaced hand work with machine engraving.
