Gorgeous Circa 1890's Victorian Ball Gown in Luscious Canary Yellow Silk Damask

Gorgeous circa 1890's Victorian Ball gown in luscious canary yellow silk damask sprinkled with tiny floral posies was created with a tailored cross your heart pleated front and back of bodice, lined in cool cotton with boning, an attached, pleated silk ribbon sash at the waist which cascades down the back below the bow and full ballooning short sleeves. The gored skirt sweeps the floor with three rows of ruffles at the hem.

This exceptional quality ball gown in cheery canary yellow will lift your spirits at just a glance! The left shoulder of the bodice has a pretty bow at the left shoulder, and is closed with numerous hook and eyes with several eyes corresponding to hooks on the skirt.
The fully lined skirt has a 6 ½ inch buckram and lace double row of luxurious pleated dust ruffles at the hemline, long wide ribbon trailers from the large sash bow. One must appreciate this meticulously constructed garment, complete with French seams and much attention to detail throughout. the dainty silk damask has a pretty, small scale floral pattern all of which is in excellent, antique condition with two spots, and some stiffening of the interior underarm pads, otherwise wonderfully clean and ready to display or wear.
