Offered just in time for Christmas is this near mint 30” EXQUISITE and rare German character that will be a special delight standing next to your French Bebes such as Bru Jne, Jumeau or Steiner, proudly but shyly holding her own! Definitely a coveted version with the /A added at the end of K&R 117, she knows the talent of the craftsman that made her with love, and it shows! She will be shipped with her very own knit stocking! She is priced to sell, far below a book price of $6.000, so grab her while you still can! Yes, anyone can find a Jumeau, but few collectors can invite you into their home and introduce you to such an EXTRAORDINARY example of the Mein Liebling doll. This is definitely a prized version with the “/A” added to the K Star R 117. Deep at the base of her neck is found her incised size number “76” representing centimeters.

CONDITION:
Her bisque socket head on a composition and wood ball jointed body remain in Excellent condition after over 100 years! There are no damages, repairs or hairlines. Please view all photos including enlarging the collage photos in my listing as they are part of the description. Without a doubt, this doll is a “Keeper”! Small, “in-the-making” flaws, such as a shallow nick on the top of her ear with paint on it, a few paint misses high near the rim and a small wig pull, and a chip in the paint at a joint are considered insignificant and do not affect her value.

HEAD:
She is in near mint condition with beautiful, undamaged bisque with a pretty glow of color on her cheeks and impeccable flyaway brows and lashes! Her full cheeks and dimple in her chin draw one to her and the eye cuts define the look of innocence. Blue blown glass eyes blink smoothly when she’s feeling sleepy. Her slightly pouting mouth is still not too much so. Perhaps she is just wondering where her new home will be. She must have been admired from afar rather than played with, considering her fine state! Her original blond mohair wig, placed over her original cardboard pate, frames her face in softness.

BODY:
Her original body remains with completely original finish and she has been recently re-strung...good for another 100 years! Please see the photo collage of her body to see how clean the paint is and the accent lines on her fingers and toes. Shown are a couple of paint chips on her right knee from a stumble over the dog on her way to her auntie’s house.

CLOTHING:
Adorned in a fully complete and precious ensemble she is display ready! It includes all antique pieces from her time period: A child corset, Split drawers, a full petticoat, a hand stitched and luxuriously embroidered cotton batiste dress with a few repaired spots in the hem lace which do not show, knit socks and bi-color low cut leather boots with pointed toes, worn buttons and holes, the soles of which are stamped 13, and a very special straw hat with ostrich plume and silk flowers and velvet ribbon.

Yes, you can put her on layway! Take up to EIGHT months to pay for this beautiful, rare doll, and make an investment that you can see and enjoy that will last you a lifetime.
