This yellow linen material was embroidered in England, during World War II, using wool yarns available during the war. It is a charming, vibrant tea cosy, embroidered with an arrangement of pansies…perhaps because the embroidered loved pansies or perhaps because her name was Pansy. Either way, it is a delightful, period piece and a reminder of workmanship during the War. It is is perfect condition and measures 9 ½” long by 7” high.
