I have left this very beautiful, iconic, half slip in its original condition. It could certainly be repaired by a deft seamstress who knows how to repair such an item. It is French, made of very fine satin/silk in the traditional Art Deco peach colour. The lace is extensive and exquisite. It has an elasticised waist with additional little buttons. It was also intended for someone with the name Bessie, as it has been embroidered on the top side of he slip. It measures 17 ½” in length, 21” waistline, 14 ¼” hips, clearly made for a very slender woman.
