Elegant, antique English, 3 piece tea service in excellent condition, made in Sheffield by James Deakin & Sons Ltd. The teapot has an earlier mark of 1911, while the sugar bowl and creamer are marked 1936. But all three are made (and marked) by the highly rated James Deakin & Sons, a Silver company in Sheffield, England, from 1888-1932. And all three pieces completely match in style and detail.
The beautiful teapot, with its ribbed body and lid, stand on four ball feet, as do the creamer and sugar. Around the lid of the pot and two other pieces, there is a gadrooned pattern. And on the handles, there is a charming detail of leaves. But nothing is overdone. It is simple and elegant. The design is a Regencey pattern, from 1810, but as it was a successful design, it carried on, even into the 20th century.

All three items are in wonderful condition. But my cleaning skills are not the best. The photos also have reflections which I could not avoid.

The teapot measures from spout to handle, 9 ¾” long, 5 ½” wide, 6 ¼” high, and weighs 565 grams.
The creamer measures 4 ½” long, 3 ¼” wide and weighs 140 grams.
The sugar measures 6 ¼” wide and weighs 253 grams.
