This is such a charming, romantic child’s dress, an infant girl of about 1 year old, depending on size. It is antique, Victorian/Edwardian in period, circa 1890-1910, as
the styles for an infant remained pretty much the same during these years.
It is made of a fine cotton lawn with delightful embroidery throughout. The front, v-shaped, embroidered panel in the front creates a wonderful dress, an image one would love
to present. Please look at the photos, which illustrate the details better than I can describe.
It is in very good condition, considering its age and delicacey, and having it worn by an infant makes its condition even more of a miracle. There are small holes, which I have also photographed, so please look at the photos.
The dress closes at the back with strings, which I have left untied to show how it can close.
The dress has been carefully washed and thankfully, has come out beautifully.
The following are the measurements.
Shoulders: 9 ½”
Width of Sleeve Hole: 7”
Neck: 5 ½”
Bust: 11 ½”
Over All Length: 25”
Hem Width: 20”
This dress looks a picture on a little baby girl or a doll would look a delight as well.
