This item is a pretty clip that dates to about the 1940s. The setting is pot metal, and the primary color is a medium sapphire blue, which comes from large, oval open-backed rhinestones. There are also a round and two marquise large stones that are a very light purple or maybe a bluish gray color. These stones are surrounded by glued clear round rhinestones. The clip measures about 2 1/2" long by 1 3/4" wide. The clip on the back secures tightly, and could easily be clipped into a safety pin so the clip can be worn as a brooch.
This piece is in good condition. There is an expected amount of wear to the pot metal. The light purple stones have a few spots inside, and one has a small spot on the back where the foil has been scratched. All in all, it is a lovely piece.
