So much silver jewelry comes out of Mexico, but this one is nice in its unique, free form design. It features a series of seven links each with abalone shell in a kind of paisley shape inlaid in the centers of the links. You can see unique variations in each link, thanks to all of the hand work that went into making this piece. The span of decorative links is suspended on a silver chain. The necklace measures 16 1/2" total length, and it is in excellent condition. It is also marked, although some of the markings are illegible. It clearly says Hecho en Mexico, is marked as sterling, and the makers mark appears to be CJ. The chain is marked Speidel Sterling.
