So-called "Khal Mohammadi" design is iconic type of patterns, invented by late patriot, expert and rug dealer named Khal Mohammad (Afghan gentleman of Turkmen roots). Such designs are today made in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan etc., though best original examples have been created in northern Afghanistan around Kunduz city and production continues to these days. Presented example comes from Kunduz area and looks like nearly new, with only light to none traces of use. (It might be also used as a stunning wall hanging).
Pleasant and soft wool of premium quality with dark red hue, enhanced with orange and black elements. Fine knotting of cca 250.000 knots per sq. m.
