Offered is a wonderful pocket watch chain and fob necklace comprised of gold-filled components from the 1890s through the early 1910s. This is a decorative chain with a long fob that ends with a locket. The chain is a chunky gent's yellow gold filled antique Edwardian picture locket pocket watch fob, signed Marathon. Measures 4 1/2" long by 1 1/8" wide. Mesh fob with long bar links and chain links and an ornate opening ends with the locket. The locket is hallmarked "Marathon" on the inside. The fold over locking clamp and swivel are both in fine functioning condition. The watch chain and fob are in excellent well cared for condition; the locket is hand engraved "F." Circa 1900-1910. Marathon Company in Attelboro, Massachusetts, has manufactured jewelry since 1897. The clip and swivel are in excellent condition. This a wonderful timeless chain that will look great with your wardrobe. The chain is 30 inches long with a hang length of 15 inches. Composition: Gold Filled (Jeweler Acid Tested); Condition is good vintage; weight is 61.7 grams. The era of the necklace is Victorian.
