Antique English Edwardian Sterling Silver (marked on back) and Guilloche Enamel Brooch. A simple and elegant enamel and sterling sash or buckle brooch from the early 20th century. The design is an ornately shaped frame that is not quite a heart. The design is an open frame sash/buckle brooch made to close a shawl or other piece of material being worn. it can also be worn at the front of a belt that looks like a fancy buckle. In excellent vintage condition. In person, the gold that is difficult to who in the pictures is vibrant and clear. Approximate measurements are 2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall. Closes with a c-clasp indicative of its age. A lovely artifact from the past to wear proudly today.
NOTE: Taking pictures to show the gold decorations proved challenging, which is why I have added pictures of the right and left of the brooch.
