Vintage Neiger Czech Brass, Bone and Enamel Necklace. Dating from the 1930s this Czech necklace is composed of carved bone beads and enameled links. The pendant contains 2 carved bovine bone sitting Buddhas hanging as a pendant. The tiny enamel links match the beads and have small floral and vine decorations. A lovely, delicate necklace that is in excellent vintage condition. Highly collectible as well as wearable.
NOTE: The Neigers began their business in the basement of their Gablonz home after WWI. Norbert ran the business and Max designed the jewelry and ran the workshop. After the war the brothers focused solely on producing Max's designs and filigree scent bottles. In 1926 they employed as many as 24 workers as demand from Europe and the US was very high for their jewelry. In 1942. the brothers were arrested and killed in Auschwitz. Highly collectible today.
