Antique 19th Century Victorian travelling boxed vanity set with secret drawer and key.

Mid Victorian, circa 1860 - 1880.

Box has mother of pearl inlay on lid and key escutcheon. Key is present.

Red velvet interior lining. Lift out tray.

Contents: 5 cut glass pots, some with silver plated lids (one lid missing), 4 cut glass pots with ground glass lids (one lid missing), oblong glass box with silver plated decorative lid, smaller glass box (lid missing).

Size of box: 12 x 9 x 7 inches. Weight: almost 4 kg (allow 5 kg once packed).

Reasonable condition for its age - one of the smaller glass pots with silver plated lids is cracked and broken with a large chip/hole in it. The box itself has superficial marks & scratches and has a crack on the front top (lid section). So not absolutely perfect but nevertheless a wonderful old box full of character.

Priced accordingly.
