For your consideration is a vintage 1860's transparent Aqua Colored Glass Ink Bottle that is in what they call a turtle shape. It is from the 1860's and is marked and encircles most of the bottom of the bottle: J & IEM. It has a lot of very tiny bubbles in the glass that was usually done during the firing and making of the bottle. The opening on the bottle was usually just cut off when it came out of the kiln or fire, so it usually wasn't very even, such as this one is. This is original on the bottle and from that time era. It is in very good, vintage & collectible condition for its approximate 150 years of age. It is approx.: 1 3/4"T (including stem) X 2"Rd.
