For your consideration is a vintage Double Cast Iron Inkwell With 2 Heavy Clear Glass Ink Bottles. The inkwell stand, itself, is very ornate with a 7 pointed star design on the front top 2 corners on the top base, a "X" in the center of a scalloped design on the top of each lid and a slanted & slatted line design on the back. There is 2 stands on the top that would normally hold 2-3 ink pens, however, the third one is broken at the right end. The lids lift up and can be removed for cleaning, etc. The ink bottles, as mentioned, are heavy and have a wide ribbed design. It is approximately: 4 1/2"T X 9"L X 4 1/4"W.; (Ink Bottle): 2 1/8"T X 2 1/2"Sq. each bottle.
CONDITION: As mentioned above, one of the pen holders on the top back has partially broken off and there is a dark patina overall. However! There is some light tarnishing, overall, that is hard to see unless looking at it close up. This is a very old 1800's - early 1900's inkwell and is expected to show some wear after at least 100 years of use. Shows great with any inkwell collection! In very good, vintage & displayable condition. Unmarked & a heavy item! (Price quoted takes into consideration any flaws mentioned. Thank you!)
