For your consideration is another darling vintage "A Merry Christmas" postcard signed Ellen H. Clapsaddle. It also reads on the front of the postcard: "May you be merry, may you be gay, On this, and many a Christmas Day." It displays a darling little Victorian style little girl dressed all in white with a Aqua colored hat on her head and scarf around her neck. She is holding a Christmas card in her hand and is in deep thought as to whom it may be from or, maybe, should she mail it! She is leaning against a large rectangle shaped basket with Holly & Berries and Poinsettias and a big red ribbon around it. There is a mark on the back that reads: International Art Publ. Co., (Eagle on top of the World with arrows on one side symbol), New-York, Berlin, Printed In Germany. There is writing on the back, a Bristol, Conn. postmark dated 1914, and a green George Washington one cent stamp. It is approx.: 3 1/2"W X 5 1/2"L.
There is some light yellowing overall, lightly scuffed corners & edges and some mice had a delicious appetizer as noted on the very top edge of the postcard. All flaws are minor & only mentioned for accuracy! Otherwise! In very good, vintage & collectible condition.
