For your consideration is a vintage clear molded glass Scottie Dog with a hand painted red collar candy holder/container. Scottie Dogs were very popular during President Franklin Roosevelt's term due to the cute little Scottie Dog that he owned. This cute glass Scottie Dog candy holder is from that era in the 1930's -40's. However, Scottie Dog items are still very collectible to this day! The bottom is open and would have been where the candy would have been put inside the dog. Then usually there would be a paper label across the bottom to keep the candy inside, but easy to tear open to get to the delicious candy when the time came. This little guy no longer has the candy or label, so some little kid really enjoyed the treat. However, he/she took very good care of this little glass Scottie Dog. The label, which is long gone, would usually have the manufacturer's name on it, but if I were to guess on the maker of this little guy, it may have been Victory Glass Co. However, this is just a guess! This little guy is in very good, vintage, & collectible condition. No chips or cracks noted! Approx.: 3 1/4"T X 1 1/4"W X 3 3/4"L. There is a sticky residue on one side center bottom. There apparently was a label there, but the residue from it decided it would remain. It is hard to see it, but is visible by touch or when held up to the light. Very minor & only mentioned for accuracy! Unmarked!
