For your consideration is a antique Civil War Era Leather Gunpowder Flask with a Metal Gunpowder Tube that opens & closes via the movable lever on the side of it. There is, also, some old string or type of vintage cord that is attached or tied around the metal tube. This may have been how the soldier carried it across his body for easy loading. The leather has some dark patina overall, as well as the brass tube, which has darken with age. There is some wear on the leather overall, also, such as some crackling of the leather. It is stamped on one side of the leather 3 Lbs. The brass lever on the side of the top brass tube does open & close, however, it is a little loose & is easy to open & close. In very good, antique, & collectible condition. Approx.: 8 1/4"L X 3 1/2"W. (This is a very old item, so wear from use & age is to be expected!
