For your consideration is a lovely vintage sterling silver locket that hangs from a vintage black ribbon type necklace. It has a brushed vertical ribbed design on the front with a diamond shaped area where a monogram could be put. The back does not have any design. It is rectangle in shape and displays a vintage black & white baby picture on the upper part of the inside, however, there isn't a picture on the bottom inside. It is marked in the center of the inside bottom with a number: 467102. On the rim of the inside bottom it reads on one side: Elgin Am. Mfg. Co, Sterling; On the other side of the inside bottom rim it also reads: Made In U.S.A. The picture looks to be from around the 1920's or 1930's. Approx.: (Locket Only): 1 3/4"L X 1 1/4"W; (Ribbon only): 22"L., (There is a small metal clip on the ribbon for adjusting the size.
CONDITION: There is a few tiny dents on the back of the locket and the locket doesn't completely latch when closed, but does stay closed when necessary. The flaws mentioned are from age & use and are minor and only mentioned for accuracy! Otherwise it is in very good, vintage, usable & collectible condition.
