For your consideration is a old Quadruple Plate Mug dated & inscribed on the front: Bertie B., Oct. 16, '87. It is also marked on the bottom: Simpson, Hall & Miller Co., Quadruple Plate. It has a fancy filigree handle attached to a band on the top and bottom that encircles the mug. The bands have a lovely tiny raised floral design overall on each. The front of the mug has a lovely raised bird on a branch with a flower & leaf design. The front has the inscription, mentioned above, which is framed in a lacy like raised design. Approx.: 4 1/2"T (Top of handle) X 2 3/4"Rd.
CONDITION: This is a 128 year old mug and does, obviously, show some wear from age & use. The finish has darkened with age, but could be removed with a cleaner. (I am leaving it as it is, because some prefer it like this! It will be up to the new owner to decide what they wish to do with the finish.) There is some dents around the top & bottom rims of the mug, but not too bad and only mentioned for accuracy!
